Just said goodbye to one of my doctors, a psychologist, who won't be back until after the New Year. I, of course, had to express my disappointment that I have to go back to work on Monday.
"Hey, guy, it could be worse," the doctor said. "It could be me." He laughed. "That's what I say to all my patients."
"And that makes them better?" I asked.
"Well," he said, "they never come back after the first visit, so I guess so."
